Our Approach

We use applied horticulture knowledge and design methodologies to establish and maintain significant open space environments, while encouraging the community to engage in horticulture practices and increase environmental awareness. This approach enables the association of the landscape and its community to not only benefit aesthetically, but also sustainably.

Services

Design

Consultation

Communication and visual interpretations are core factors in the design and execution of effective landscape projects. From project start to finish.

Open Life Designs implements the following process to ensure the succession of the each project.

Preliminary Planning

On site consultation with the client to identify their requirements, functions of space and environmental constraints. A project proposal can be issued detailing a brief scope of works, draft drawing concepts and estimated costing.

Conceptual Plan

Using the research and feedback gathered from the preliminary planning stage, we then issue our clients with a detailed conceptual plan that includes the development of plan views, work schedules and construction documents, as well as an official project quote.

Project Management

We offer complete project management services, including the management of individual construction teams for specific tasks within the project scope, ensuring compliance to all Work Health and Safety and Environmental regulations, and progress reporting back to our clients to ensure no ambiguities with the confirmed concept.

Finalisation Reporting

On the successful completion of a project a finalisation report is issued to the client, containing all site drawing, maintenance schedules and a statement of claim.

Open Space Auditing

We provide open space auditing for government councils, commercial landscapes sites and large-scale parklands and gardens.

Audits reports are used as a referencing tool to identify the horticultural and design works required to improve the condition of a landscape, and as a compliance inspection for safety and environment issues.
